thinnerware...

While reading my Better Homes and Gardens mag, I came across this fab find...

THINNERWARE!! These are settings of plates, bowls and cups that have a system of keeping you accountable of portion control. Each flower or line represents a specific measurement. For instance, the flowers on the plate represent 1/2 cup, 1/4 cup and 1 serving of meat. Creative huh?!?! Of Course, she recommends you measure out the first time you use them so you can see how high you can "pile" it on.

All dishes are hand painted by Sarah Morris herself and what a great job she does! She offers a variety of colors and you can order as a set or piece by piece if you wish to mix colors.

I love these.... maybe one day I'll order a set of 4! I especially love the shape of the plate {not available anymore:( } and the kiwi color!

Stop by and check thinnerware out! :)

new finds...

I absolutely L.O.V.E. the two new apps I just downloaded for free on my iPhone.

Lindsay told me about the Kindle for iPhone app which I downloaded and played on last night. There are a ton of free books you can download, most of which I haven't heard of, but they also offer a lot of old classics I haven't read in years or ever for that matter. I downloaded 10 books:) Love it!! Thanks Lindsay!!

My second one could possibly turn into an addiction. PHOTOSHOP for iPhone!!!!! AHH and it's free! I just played with three pics I have on my phone and they turned out really cute. Here are the before and after.

This one changed a little when I downloaded it to the computer. My original one on facebook looks a little better and not quite as bright as it does on here. You get the basic idea.

sleep sound...

Lately, Hubs hasn't been sleeping very well. It takes him forever to fall asleep and then he tosses and turns all night. I also have problem tossing and turning and waking up feeling exhausted. We decided to try out this Aromatherapy roll on from Bath and Body Works.

"Studies have shown Lavender essential oil fosters restful sleep while Chamomile essential oil soothes and calms to encourage better quality sleep."

I've tried it once, and it might be all in my head, but I think we both got a better nights rest. Whatever works right?!
I've also tried out the one for headaches and I do think this stuff works. I get headaches often and don't always want to take medication. You roll the headache version on your temples or neck and I'm telling you, I think these really do help!
Right now B&Bworks has them on sale for $5 each! Normally they are $10 each. That's pretty pricey!
Let me know if you have tried them or if you end up trying them out! They also have a stress relief, energy boost, etc...

beautiful...

Today is a beautiful day! For many reasons, really!

Today, I had my last Lupron injection!! YAY! Now we just need to figure out what direction to go from here. For those who don't know, I have been diagnosed with Endometriosis and had surgery last September. After my surgery, the doc thought it was best for me to have this series of 6 monthly injections to put my "female system" on hold (basically thru menopause) since we weren't ready to try to get pregnant. I go back next month for a follow-up and tell my doc if we are ready to start trying or not. As of now, we aren't. This means more hormones/birth control again until we decide we are ready.

Another reason I love today, besides the beautiful weather... I had a coupon from Old Navy for 50% off one item (i printed off two and went in twice). I got one pair of green bermudas for $10 and a cute pair of flats for $7.50. YAY!!

I also decided it was time to get a plant for our back porch. I bought I baby jalapeno plant, soil and a pretty pot (on sale from $35 to $15!!) from Home Depot. Hopefully we will grow some yummy jalapenos! I also bought a smaller pot that I plan on painting along with some begonia's to put in it!

Here are my lovely purchases!!

Stay tuned for a cute idea for easter place cards...

pedipaw...

Since we have two pups, it means we pay for two of everything. Getting their nails cut is pretty expensive and come to think of it, I could get a manicure two times each time we take them in to get theirs trimmed. We have tried petsmart/petco and even though they are cheaper, for some reason they never cut them as short as the vets do. I think we pay about$16 for each dog. That adds up! We decided, after recommendations from my mom and others, that we would try out the pedipaw. We got it at Bed, Bath and Beyond for $19.99 but I had a $5 off coupon so I paid $15 for it. That's one nail trim. We used it and it works! Our dogs usually freak out when they get their nails cut and they didn't with this. It does take a little more time, but it is worth it! We turned it on to get them used to the noise and after a couple minutes, it didn't bother them!

So for those of you with dogs, I highly recommend it!

check it out...

I came across a fellow Keller resident who has her own jewelry business. She has some beautiful pieces and is extremely talented. Looking Glass Jewels is definitely worth checking out and I'm sure you will love what you see. You can get to her etsy shop from her blog! Hope you enjoy!!

I'm even terrified of birds and I think these earrings are adorable!!
